With or without driver? When you speak enough Spanish and are a bit of an adventurous person, you could consider renting a car without driver.  But, you have to keep in mind that there are not that many road signs in this country and detailed road maps are difficult to come by.  But generally the Nicaraguan people are helpful though.  (Also see the page "Drivers".) Travelling with a driver will be more relaxing.  You are not loosing time with finding your way around.  In the case the car would be involved in an accident, the driver will deal with the police. Important: we do not want you to drive yourself  to the nature reserve on top  the Mombacho volcano when you do not have experience with steep climbing.  We will charge you for the damage or excessive wear to our cars, caused by bad handling.  Play it safe and use one of our drivers.
