Nicaraguan Police
It is unfortunately true that in the past the Nicaraguan Police was showing a special interest
for foreign tourists.
They liked to stop them and with often a bogus reason tried to shake them out of some money.
However that is not true anymore. Already some years now our rental client tell us that they had no disturbing
experiences with the police here. So a major change in the police's
attitude toward tourists has taken place. Nowadays when you are stopped by
the police, you can assume that it is because you really did something wrong.
When you rent a vehicle from us, we will give some guidelines for how best to deal with the Nicaraguan Police.
